Primary school is characterized by both a strong thrust towards building a solid academic base and exposing the students to a vibrant world beyond the school walls.


The Primary School Programme follows an integrated curriculum. The curriculum is an amalgamation of the best practices from all the boards, that is constantly upgraded through continuous and steady research.

The curriculum is designed in-house by a team of educators. The curriculum encourage students to develop the conceptual understanding, knowledge and skills that they need to become conscious learners. Through the structured integrated curriculum, the students learn higher level of questioning skills. The topics studied have been carefully selected, and moduled based on their relevance and significance.

The primary school curriculum provides opportunities for rich and challenging learning experiences for the children in a supportive and nurturing environment. Children develop an understanding of themselves and their world through various forms of expression including Languages, Music, Art, Drama, English, Social Science, Mathematics and Physical Education.

Assessment at D.G. Khetan International School is the process of identifying, gathering and interpreting information about students’ learning. The central purpose of assessment is to provide information on student’s achievement and progress and set the direction for ongoing teaching and learning.

Assessments are undertaken for each subject in formative, diagnostic, summative and evaluative process. They are conducted in a stress free environment; where teachers use a range of strategies to assess student learning which includes On-going Observations, Collaborative Project Work, Inquiry Based Problem Solving Methods, Research, Graphic Organizers, Mental Math, Vedic Math, Dictations, Role Plays, Speech and Drama, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills.
